Offerkin (“we”, “us”) helps you find job matches and tailor your resume. This page explains what we collect, who processes it, and the choices you have. Questions: support@offerkin.com.
What we collect
- Account: if you sign in with Google, your Google account email and name. If you continue as a guest, a randomly assigned guest ID and no email.
- Your content: resumes you upload (the file name and extracted text), answers you save to our gap questions, chat messages with the assistant, and chat history you choose to import.
- Results and activity: your job matches and ranking, tailored resume versions and your accept/reject choices, application status, and settings (search preferences, schedule, email-digest preference).
- Usage and billing: usage counts (for example, how many AI tailors you used this month) and your plan (Free or Pro). Payment details are handled by Stripe; we store only your Stripe customer/subscription reference.
How we use it
To sign you in, analyze your resume, find and rank jobs, generate and explain resume edits, remember your answers so we never ask twice, send optional match emails, enforce plan limits, and keep the service secure. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

We also read public job boards and company career sites to find listings; those requests contain search terms, not your resume or identity.
Cookies and local storage
We do not use advertising cookies. We run cookieless, first-party page-view counting (Vercel Web Analytics) — no ad scripts, no cross-site tracking, no analytics cookies. The site stores a session token in your browser’s local storage so you stay signed in, plus a small amount of local data such as chat display state and guest status. Clearing site data signs you out; a guest’s data cannot be recovered after that.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Sessions use signed tokens, and each account’s data is accessible only to that account. No system is perfectly secure.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time in Settings → Delete account (type DELETE to confirm), or by emailing support@offerkin.com from the address on your account (guests: include your guest name). Deleting your account permanently removes your resumes, saved answers, chat and imported history, job matches, tailored resumes, usage records, settings, and your account record, and signs you out everywhere. If you have a Pro subscription it is cancelled immediately and we ask Stripe to delete your customer record. Stripe may retain payment records as required by law for tax and accounting. Deletion is immediate in our database; copies in our hosting provider’s routine backups, if any, expire on that provider’s schedule.
Your choices
You can delete your account in Settings, access or correct your data by emailing us, turn off email digests in Settings, and cancel Pro at any time. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights; contact us and we will help.
Children
Offerkin is not intended for anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above.
